This installment of Sim city was made by a company known as Tilted Mill, no one really knows why this offer wasn’t given to Maxis as they own the trademarks of sim city as well as the entire sims series. I am very impressed with the graphics of the game and it runs mega smooth on my core 2 duo MacBook it does have 4GB RAM though. Since there is no Mac version of the game yet, I had to install windows XP professional SP2 via bootcamp for it to work. I am so impressed with the game I’ll even try and put up with windows until the mac version comes out predicted May or June time. They have made it so much more easier to build cities and they look much, much, much better than the ones found in Sim City 4. I give it a rating of 10 out 10 there is just no fault with it I have found.This is the suburbs in my city, which I called Simtropolis!
The Samsung SCH-u740 is a relatively new phone from Verizon Wireless. This phone has a dual flip design where if your an avid texter like me you can text in landscape mode and still make calls from portrait mode. Note that when you make a call from landscape mode it will automatically put the call on speakerphone. Also, you can text while being in portrait mode but it is a lot harder because the keys are much smaller. Overall the phone has a pretty decent battery life, good call quality, and a nice slim design. I’ve been using this phone for a while now and I’m finally starting to get the hang of it. You can buy this phone from Verizon Wireless for around $99-$125 with a two year contract.
Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.3 could be arriving within a few months to add even more bug fixes. In one post on a 3rd party website someone called Apple up about a Macbook Pro problem he had an Apple rep then told him a update for the system will be coming out very soon. There is no way of knowing if the Apple rep meant, days, weeks or months, but in my opinion will be a while before we see the update as there isn’t any reports of a developer seed.

It looks like your favourite leg burner intel will get to the quad core milestone this year, thanks to the people at intel.
The hot to the touch CPU rumour mill claims that we will see the quad core, 45nm qx9300 hit the stores after centrino 2 chips are launched. The general information is that the new laptops will be generally heavier then a normal laptop. Bare in mind the power hungry processors are going to be eating up all of your battery life. If you haven’t all ready googled or told some one els about this on behalf of kochcast I congratulate you.
What Ubuntu is
Ubuntu is a community based OS which you can customize to what ever you want even to look like even your p.c. Ubuntu is perfectly designed for laptops,desktops,and even servers. You could use it any ware it contains all the applications and software you will ever need from word processing and email applications, to web server software and even programming tools. no need to purchase software which you will only use on certain occasions. Ubuntu has all you need easily integrated into the operating system.
I’m just going to go straight to the point. Ubuntu is free and fabulous, i run it in VMware fusion on OS X and its like a dream . Its a grate open source OS and is convenient for people on the go and wanting to do things fast and at ease. without complicated processing options and interfaces. Some people will argue that it is a stripped down version of windows but it is quite the opposite beneath the surface of the basic looks and unix based OS. They are ways to download plugs-ins and Applications to make it into virtually anything you want it to look like. Although i found it very annoying having to type in endless codes to install an application.
Software
Ubuntu comes with its own wide rang of applications, arcade games internet mail and browser even a messenger client. it even comes with open office which includes presentation, spread sheet and a word processor.
Good Things:
Ubuntu is set out in a way familiar to windows,witch helps any new user to understand the interface. Ubuntu is free so what do you have to lose. which makes you think why 90|% of the world uses windows. you can download it from the ubuntu website or order a cd to be delivered to your door for free.
Bad Things:
One of the intimidating problems when dealing with any linux operating system is the shear complexity of installing software. if your new to computers Ubuntu is probably going to be a mine field for you. For some people ubuntu is just two basic and lacks applications and games.

As you may of seen in this weeks circuit city’s sunday ad’s they have been showing the picture of the iPod nanos that the pink one has been replaced with a purple one.
Apple’s line of iPod nanos at the moment come in silver, blue, black, green, pink, and the (PRODUCT)RED. But on the website, scrolling over the ad will bring up another photo of the actual line of iPods at the moment. If this is true legit information could this mean that apple are making the iPod nano and iPod shuffle both the same colors. If this was true apple would need to bring black and pink to the iPod shuffle but time will tell.

I’d say 2007 was a pretty big year for Steve Wozniak, what with Kathy Griffin, an Epcot animatronic, some widely covered Apple sentiments, and (honor of honors) an Engadget interview to top it all off. Turns out he’s not backing down in 2008, and spoke out at a Sydney press conference with some fairly constructive criticism for some of Apple’s brightest stars. He expressed concern over the 24 hour limit for iTunes movie rentals, and doesn’t see the Apple TV taking off just yet, though he sees it as a “good indication of the future.” Woz was less kind to the iPhone, saying he was “really disappointed” at the iPhone’s introduction, due to the lack of 3G. He’s still a fan of the phone interface, particularly the browser, but he’s miffed about those speed constraints. Finally, he likes his MacBook Air, and he’s currently attempting to see if he can make it his single laptop, but the shortage of ports and lack of disc drive and removable battery are making it difficult. We really couldn’t have said any of it any better, Woz.

Sony has announced that they’ve increased hard drive storage capacity by five times through developing a new method of writing information that’s viable even for notebooks. Instead of writing via magnetics, the new system resembles current optical technologies, using a hybrid magnet/laser to write information to a disk at densities of 125GB/square inch. As we understand it, most elements of the traditional hard drive stay intact, but your current 320GB hard drive setup would see data storage reaching 1.6TB. Of course, there are no immediate plans for mass production.
This flash plugin is only for videos but it is extremely useful for people who want to view videos on other websites rather than using the Youtube application on your iPod touch.
First, open your Safari browser and go to www.videohamster.com/ipod and then go to the “How to” page and hit the + button to bookmark that page.
Once you have done that go to your bookmarks by hitting the book icon and hit the edit button. Now what you need to do is tap on the videohamster bookmark you just created and ignore the name just go down to the url and slide your finger until you reach the begging of the url.
Once you have done that, delete all of this —> “http://videohamster.com/ipod/#_”
*Please Note that this is a little different from the instructions on the video hamster website, but thats what I had and it still worked, so don’t freak out.*
After you have done that the beginning of the url should now start with, “JavaScript…etc” now hit the bookmarks button and hit DONE.
Now all you have to do is go to a site that has a video you want to watch, click it, and once it should load an icon telling you that you don’t have flash installed, ignore this and hit your newly created videohamster bookmark and the video should load automatically and you can even watch it in landscape mode.
*Please Note, If the video does not load automatically it will show a thumbnail of the video then all you have to do is just tap the thumbnail and then it will start playing.*

Earlier today I noticed Apple have already updated the Macbook & Macbook Pro product line after only around 3 months. The New Standard Macbook includes a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 duo, 1GB RAM, 120GB Hard drive and X3100 intel graphics. The fastest model Macbook has a 2.4GHz Intel core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive. Amazing speed. The standard Macbook Pro now has a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 200GB hard drive, Multi touch trackpad and NVIDIA 8600 GT 256MB graphics. The fastest MacBook Pro now has a 2.6GHz Intel core 2 duo, 250GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, NVIDIA 8600 GT 512MB graphics and of course a 17” display.
